Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress, best known for her performances in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Kun..! In the 80s, she began her acting career and became famous for her role as Tezaab which she played alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared with her. In Mumbai the city she was born within a middle class family parents. At a very young age, she started to study dance. As a young woman began acting, but was not successful as a lot of her movies were unsuccessful. Her fame grew and she became one of the top film actresses. After her marriage, she took some time to rest from her acting career prior to returning. Recently, she played a significant role in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit won the film eight Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen she was nominated for. Padma Shri - the fourth most prestigious civilian award of India is awarded to Dixit. Her social work is also popular.
